Day 7, 8, 9. Shengyang food,Sichuan food and Chongqing food

Day 7, Shenyang food
03/07/2011
Rusturant: "Guan Dong House"
Location: 10851 N. Wolfe Rd Cupertino, CA 95014
Cost: 15 $ per person
Today I will introduce Shenyang restaurant which located at Wolf called “Guang Dong House", different with Cantonese and Hongkong taste, Shenyang food is spicier. Actually when I first time go to this restaurant, I do not know which one is better and what I should to order, so I asked the waiter and he told me what are most famous dishes in here.
As my picture I posed, the left side is all of my order, they are all delicious, and however, I want to talk about the right side picture which called “Guo bao meat in detail. It makes of pork, and use flour to cover around, then put into pot and cook for five minutes. At the last step is put some sweet source on top. I often eat this one in my previous home stay because my roommate is from Shenyang; she always cooks this one for dinner. And it not really difficult to cooking. I love this one match with rice, it is impressing.
Shenyang food has one thing special is they are like to eat lamp. Also, the good thing about Guan Dong House is the lamb. They make it very well, without any odd "lamb’s flavors. If you don't like lamb, you haven't eaten the lamb here. And for my suggest, do not order too many here because for the common dish, the size looks like two bigger than other restaurant, so for only one person, only one dish is enough. The service is also good. I have one thing that confused me is every time has a little bit different taste for same dish when I went to there. I thought maybe there are some difference chefs there.
If you never eat Shenyang food before, just go here, you can feel tradition North China food in this restaurant!

Day 8, Sichuan food

03/07/2011
Rusturant: Spices Restaurant
Location: 294 8th Ave San Francisco, CA 94118
Cost: 15 $ per person

Today I will talk about Sichuan food from Spices Restaurant. Here is the best Sichuan resturant in San Francisco I think. Every time when I go to this restaurant, so many people waiting and want go inside to eat. However, I always make a appointment first before I go. I do not want wait long time. The space is crowd and every seat is very nearby each other one. Not a very clean place but the taste is sooooo good. Most of dishes are Sichuan taste -----spicy. When I order the dish named "Shui Zhu Fish" which is under picture, I feel so surprised because the taste is number through my tongue. They put so many red pepper and black pepper in the bowl and put pickle fish together. I used to eat spicy food in my country, so it is normal to me. But one of my friend is cannot stand the spicy taste, after he eating this, he said, oh, I can’t feel my mouth. I remembered when I first year came to America, I was study in Language school in SF north bay area, and one of my profess love so much about this restaurant, and she said every time when she goes to SF, this restaurant is her first choice.  The other picture that on the blog which is I went to Sichuan this summer. I had eaten tradition Sichuan in this city.
Sichuan people like to eat spicy food. When I went to Sichuan, I saw a lot of girls' skins are smooth and bright, I think often spicy food can expedite blood circulation. So that is the reason why their skin looks like better. Also, for Sichuan City, it around mountain and river, the weather is humid. It is a good place to go to vacation.
If you love spicy like me, go to this restaurant!

Day 9, Chongqing food

03/07/2011
Rusturant: Guan Dong House
Location:10851 N. Wolfe Rd Cupertino, CA 95014
 Cost: 15 $ per person

I went to this restaurant again because in here there has two type of Chinese food: Chongqing food and Dongbei food. But today I want talk about Chongqing food. They are not has big difference between Sichuan food and Chongqing food, they are all spicy and looks similar. But there is a little bit difference between them. Sichuan food is often use Spicy source to cook, and like to put some red pepper and black pepper, but Chongqing food is more often use red chill and wild pepper. And in my opinion, Chongqing food is spicier than Sichuan's.
The service is good and the dishes come out fast. As a general rule of thumb, we are prepared to order when the waitress comes by the table the first time, I did not ask many questions about ingredients, I also didn’t make special requests, only told her put more spicy pepper in my dishes.
The tastes are good and spicy, I drink a lot of water, but I love spicy food. So it doesn’t matter to me. The first dish is called "Xiang La Ji Ding", it means spicy Diced chicken. It is the popular dish in "Xiang cuisine". "Xiang" is means "HuNan" city.  And it really near Chongqing city. So we called these kind of dishes belong to "Xiang cuisine".
